Overview
In this seminar, you will get to know the basic elements of the DeviceNet protocol and the characteristics of DeviceNet data communication. Practical exercises will help you expand your newly acquired theoretical knowledge. After the course, you will be able to apply the content in a targeted way to your own tasks.
Content
- Architecture of the DeviceNet protocol
- Transmission technology, modifications to the CAN standard
- Types of information in a DeviceNet node("identification", "communication link", device-specific information)
- Objects in DeviceNet
- Data transmission
- "explicit connections"
- "I/O messages"
- "bit strobe commands"
- "Predefined connection set": Assignment of communication modes, mapping communication to CAN (layer 2) communication
Target group
This seminar has been designed for individuals involved in developing, commissioning or servicing DeviceNet-based systems.
