PROFINET Competence Center
The Profibus User Organization (PNO) has awarded Softing AG the status of a PROFINET Competence Center (PNCC). Right from the start, Softing has been actively involved in the PNO's various specification groups for PROFINET.
The PNCC has a demonstration system in which a variety of PROFINET CBA devices (SPSs and field devices) are currently being used.
One unique feature of this system is that a PROFINET WebIntegration solution can be used to access the process and device information.
Softing AG distributes PROFINET technology in a vendor-neutral way through seminars, consultation and publications (available in German only).
PROFINET Competence Centers are the backbone of the technical support provided by the international PROFIBUS organization. In order to guarantee the worldwide availability of comprehensive, vendor-neutral services for PROFINET components and networks, qualified partners are accepted into the international network after thorough examination.
The complete range of services offered by the Softing PNCC covers practically all current aspects of PROFINET usage - from the provision of protocol stacks, through the integration of interfaces in automation devices, to system commissioning.
The automation specialist offers training sessions, consultation and engineering services to users and manufacturers for the development of hardware and software components.
The spectrum of services expands continually as more PROFINET specifications and devices become available. The demonstration system is already being expanded to include PROFINET IO.
