Softing offers a number of services based on existing protocol stacks with PROFINET IO controller, PROFINET IO device and PROFINET IO supervisor functionality. Time to market

The most important service offered by Softing is the porting of the PROFINET IO stack. In place of your own development department, we will port our PROFINET IO stack to your target system. Access to the processor, memory and operating system is combined in a single module, the porting layer. The separate Access Module supports single- or dual-processor solutions. The actual core of the PROFINET IO stacks still remains available on the various platforms.

Futureproof

Young specifications like PROFINET IO often go through short life cycles and cycles of change. Since the actual PROFINET IO stack is the same for the various target systems, all changes only need to be carried out once and can then be made available to our customers in the context of maintenance agreements for the different platforms.

Flexibility

The PROFINET IO stack uses the same API as the other Ethernet solutions we support. This means that you can quickly and economically couple your device to MODBUS or EtherNet/IP on the existing port.

Certification

Our multi-vendor demo installation and testing tools will help you pre-certify your new PROFINET product. The tried and tested protocol stack ensures a prompt and smooth certification procedure.
