PROFIBUS protocol software - The modular basis for your interface
A complete software-based solution for process automation devices. This protocol software is optimized for the Renesas M16C microcontroller, which is suitable for use in intrinsically safe field devices. Standard function blocks can be integrated by means of a function block shell. The same stack also supports FOUNDATIONTM fieldbus H1. The Profibus PA slave is available in the Fieldbus Kit as well.
The following function blocks are available for the PROFIBUS PA slave stack:
- Analog input
- Analog output
- Discrete input
- Discrete output
- Totalizer
The new Fieldbus Kit (FBK) from Softing AG enables existing field devices to be converted quickly and easily to FOUNDATION fieldbus H1 and PROFIBUS PA.
Softing's Fieldbus Kit is a sensible alternative to conventional stack integration which makes it easier for the manufacturers of HART devices to enter the fieldbus market.
The solution includes the necessary software and a small, intrinsically safe board with the fieldbus interface (pre-certified for Zone 0). This can be integrated directly into the existing casing.
Softing will be happy to help customers carry out the necessary conformity and interoperability tests upon request. The device description files required for this are also included in the package.
