FOUNDATION fieldbus protocol software - the modular basis for your interface
This "big" solution for control systems and controllers supports a high number of connections and objects. It offers the full range of FOUNDATION fieldbus services. This protocol software can control up to four FOUNDATION fieldbus H1 segments as a link active scheduler and time master. It provides a complete interface for implementing typical host applications. This stack is used in several certified hosts and in Softing products such as the FOUNDATION fieldbus Linking Device.
This protocol software supports the high-speed Ethernet (HSE) protocol as both a client and a server. It is based on standard TCP sockets. This stack is used in the FOUNDATION fieldbus Linking Device, for example.
This compact protocol software is optimized for 16-bit low-power microcontrollers. It makes it possible to implement intrinsically safe field devices. Its range of functions is oriented on the typical requirements of field devices.
The function block applications can be integrated via standard function blocks by means of a function block shell. The following function blocks are available for the FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 Field Device:

The stack can also support the link master functionality. This stack can be used in either FOUNDATION fieldbus mode or in PROFIBUS PA mode. The stack thus offers the option of developing devices for the two leading fieldbuses in the process industry.
This stack is used in around 45% of the field devices registered with the Fieldbus Foundation. It is also the basis for Softing products such as the Fieldbus Kit (FBK).
