Customer-specific EDD Development

An Enhanced Device Description (EDD) file summarizes the performance features of a field device and contains a device description which enables the device to be easily integrated into a control system. In addition to indicating process values, it can also display complex graphics such as bar charts or historical value patterns.

EDD files are supported by various fieldbuses, including FOUNDATION fieldbus and PROFIBUS PA.
