Area of application

The Fieldbus Kit (FBK) communication module is a complete interface for quickly and easily connecting field devices to the PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP and Modbus/TCP Real-Time Ethernet protocols. The Simple Device Application Interface (SDAI) is used to connect the device application to the protocol software.

Flexible communication modules are an interesting alternative when small quantities of interface connections are needed or the necessary hardware development skills are lacking. They can also be used to quickly and easily extend the functionality of existing field devices.
