Who are the authors?
The authors have been actively involved in the development of the OPC technology from the very beginning. They are recognized experts in this field.
Dipl. Ing. Jürgen Lange
born 1961, studied electrical engineering at Munich Technical University. He works as Market Segment Manager with Softing AG. His work focuses on strategic product planning as well as product marketing in the field of industrial automation. Jürgen is an active member of OPC Europe and the Technical Advisory Council of the OPC Foundation.
Dipl.-Ing. Frank Iwanitz
born 1962, studied electrical engineering at Magdeburg Technical University. Today, he works as product manager with Softing AG. In his work, his main emphasis is in the area of Real-Time Ethernet.
Thomas J. Burke
Thomas J. Burke was the founder of the OPC Foundation in 1995. Today he is serving as President and executive director of the OPC Foundation. Thomas's contributions to the book provide a significant opportunity to understand the vision of the OPC Foundation and the importance of the OPC technology for industrial automation and beyond. Thomas is well-known in the industry, as a speaker at many conferences, trade shows, and other industry events.

Who are the co-authors and reviewers?
