CAN bus Interface Cards and Boards
CAN PCI, CAN PC/104, CAN USB, CAN PC Card, PCMCIA

Softing offers CAN Interface Cards with various form factors and interfaces.

All CAN bus Interfaces are delivered with the CAN API by default.

Alternatively, there are also APIs available for CANopen and DeviceNet.

CAN API functionality:
  • FIFO mode

    Sequential buffering of reception and transmission messages; receipt stamping in a 1µs pattern; suitable for recording measurement data, realizing "higher" proprietary protocols or analyzing networks
  • Object buffer mode

    One buffer per defined message; automatic updating of receive buffer; random access to current process data; exact cyclic transmission

For these CAN bus interface cards, drivers for numerous operating systems and realtime environments are available, e.g. Windows, CE, Linux, DOS, RTX, QNX (as option, not as free download).
